一、我國外語寫作教學的國情現狀

現在，英語寫作尚未成為我國英語教學的主體，寫作課并未在思想上得到真正的重視。寫作只是精讀課的一部分，然而，精讀課的內容多，時間有限，因此寫作在英語教學中占的比例少之又少。另外，各類外語考試的寫作比重占總分的比重皆不超過四分之一。圍繞著這樣的“指揮棒”進行的大學英語教學自然也不會把寫作教學放在重要位置。再有，各式各樣的大學公共英語教材中，很少有專門的寫作教材專本。由此可見，外語寫作技能的培養已然成了一位頗不受重視的“灰姑娘”。蔡基剛(2002)[2]認為，中國學生的寫作表達能力遠遠落后于其語法、詞匯和閱讀能力。王承露(2002)[3]認為，我國大學生英語作文中最突出的問題就是寫作內容貧乏。

由于大學英語寫作只占精讀課的一小部分，而且大學英語教師課時多，任務重，很難針對學生的每篇作文進行精批細改，更難培養學生的創造性，與學生進行互動與反饋，多是進行成品寫作教學法，即給學生評析范文，布置作文題目，一次成搞，一次評定，不能做到反復修改成型。而且，教師的修改多是側重語法形式，就編輯方面的內容修改得多，就主體思想的討論少。有的教師更是不辭辛苦，為學生就不同領域的論題列出“八股”例文，讓學生照貓畫虎，以應付國家的四、六級考試。長期受這種“快餐式”寫作教學的影響，學生沒有寫作熱情，主觀能動性，思維創作力備受限制，結果導致學生對四級考試存在過級心理，不腳踏實地得注重語言表達能力的培養。

二、適合我國國情的英語寫作教學方法

結合以上英語教學理論和我國英語寫作教學國情現狀，以及影響英語寫作教學的因素，適合我國國情的英語寫作教學應采取“過程題材教學法”(劉寬平，2003)[4]。過程教學法注重思想內容的挖掘和學生作為寫作主體的能動性，體現以人為本，有利于提高寫作者的分析能力和邏輯思維能力。過程教學法還可以通過師生合作、同學合作學習討論的方式使令人畏懼的寫作活動變得輕松愉快。在具體教學實踐中應采取以下方法：

(一)結合漢語寫作，訓練謀篇布局

由于漢語寫作能力對英語寫作在形成思路、謀篇布局方面有直接影響，所以要提高英語寫作能力應從漢語寫作練起。英語寫作既是語言活動也是思維活動，思維模式影響修辭方法和謀篇布局的基本規律。我國學生英語寫作中的語言失誤主要是由于漢語思維對英語的支配作用造成的。王文宇、文秋芳通過有聲思維的方式研究發現中國大學生的二語寫作過程普遍存在雙語特征，即母語與二語同時參與思維[12]。我們的大學生是在一個完全漢文化的環境下成長起來的，其漢語思維基本已成定勢。他們的母語思維方式和文化語言習慣無時無刻不在阻礙其英語寫作能力的提高。這種現象可以從學生作文中比比皆是的漢語式英語表達方式、句法結構和篇章結構得到驗證。由此，母語的干擾不可避免。既然如此，就應采取措施使這種作用正面化、積極化，母語在二語寫作中的負遷移向正遷移的方向轉移。

首先，應對英語寫作能力較差，尤其是謀篇布局差的學生進行漢語的思維訓練。讓對一主題沒有內容可寫、無從寫起或寫起來文不對題的學生頭腦里有內容、有條理。訓練學生文題相符、重點突出、層次清晰。然后，還有讓學生認識到兩種語言和思維模式的差異，并在英語寫作中有意識的增加英語思維方式和表達方式。通過開展英漢語言的對比研究可以增強學生的英語語感，增強識別能力，熟悉英漢兩種語言的表達方式和篇章結構的特點，從而最終有助于英語寫作能力的提高。

(二)擴大詞匯量，提高英語表達能力

詞匯是寫作中用以承載思想的工具。詞匯量不足極大的限制思想的表達和寫作水平的提高。學生寫作中出現的很多問題，如內容貧乏，詞不達意，上下文不銜接，句型單調等都可能出于詞匯量不足的原因。實踐證明，如果在寫作時有一本字典，學生的思想表達要更活躍、更深刻。詞匯量的不足使他們避重就輕，選取簡單的思想和修辭，嚴重影響了英語寫作。因此，應采取各種途徑擴大學生的詞匯量，如背詞典，擴大閱讀量，反復閱讀和背記，實踐操作等。同時應注意對英語詞匯的掌握不僅僅指詞義本身，還要掌握詞的語用知識。很多學生寫作中詞不達意，原因就在于沒掌握圍繞著這個詞的語用知識。在英語學習中，語言學習者要明確語言形式與語用功能之間的關系，確定學以致用的原則。提高英語語用能力的一個重要措施就是讓學習者接觸、了解英語國家的文化與交際規范。英語與漢語用來表達特定言語行為的語言方式往往不同，學習英語就是要學會英語中的言語表達方式。

三、在閱讀中學習寫作

閱讀能力對寫作能力有影響作用。因為閱讀能力強的學生更有能力從閱讀中獲取表達詞匯。大量的閱讀能幫助學生擴大詞匯量，通過上下文語境掌握詞匯的準確用法和句法知識。另一方面，閱讀能培養學生的語用知識和百科知識，提高認知能力。在閱讀中，學生鍛煉了細致觀察、分析歸納、推理驗證等邏輯思維能力。通過閱讀，還可使學生了解地道的英語書面語特點，避免在寫作中口語化現象的發生。在閱讀中學習寫作，能把語篇結構的分析、語言知識的傳授和寫作技能的訓練結合起來，使之成為一個相得益彰的統一體。具體而言，通過閱讀，學生與作者的思想感情相溝通，學習寫作技巧，獲取寫作經驗，領悟見解，掌握信息，從而激發學生去思考、去感悟，并開拓思路，擴展視野，使學生有內容可寫。同時，閱讀中培養的思維分析、推理能力以及語言知識是學生知道如何寫。在閱讀中學習寫作還可以對培養語感和建構篇章的能力起到很大的作用。并且，在閱讀中學習寫作適合我國寫作課時少或沒有單獨的寫作課的現狀。
