摘要：上海成功申辦2010年世界博覽會，為上海的城市建設、環境保護、經濟和社會發展、提升城市品位和市民綜合素質帶來了巨大的機遇和挑戰。世博會將帶來的主要經濟效應有：推動上海產業結構的調整、帶動基礎設施建設的升級、對GDP的貢獻效應、增加就業機會以及后續經濟效應等。另外，世博會還將給我們上海帶來其他效應，如；推動發展中國家在國際經濟活動中的參與度，提高上海的知名度和區域輻射效應等。上海便利的交通設施和配套設施、良好的接待服務、合理的價位等優勢，都為上海會展業的進一步發展提供良好的條件。當然，目前上海會展業的發展也存在著一些劣勢。針對以上這些優勢和劣勢，發展上海會展業可以采用以下對策和建議：將會展業提升為支柱產業，強化其對經濟的推進作用，促進會展業走向市場化和品牌化、實現規范化運作、引進和培養會展型人才、大力吸引外資，擴大對外合作和交流。總之，我們要萬分珍惜舉辦2010年世博會的大好東風，用新的突破和佳績，實現上海在新世紀的跨越式發展。
