GamaIJB aims to become an academic platform for publishing business research results, with a particular focus on research in areas such as marketing management, financial management, strategic management, operational management, human resource management, e-commerce, knowledge management, management accounting, management control systems, management information systems, international business, business economics, business ethics and sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

This journal has been indexed by multiple international databases, including EBSCO (2004), Scopus (2010), Informit (2013), Norwegian Science Index (NSD), and EconLit (2014). In 2017, GamaIJB began using an online journal system for manuscript submission, review, and final decision-making, and became an open access journal. In the same year, the journal was accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. In 2018, GamaIJB was indexed in the Q3 region of Scopus.

The main readership of GamaIJB includes scholars, graduate students, business practitioners, and other individuals interested in business research. The journal encourages authors to provide availability of data where possible and to indicate in their articles how the data was obtained. In addition, GamaIJB does not charge any submission or publication fees to authors and is committed to disseminating business knowledge based on systematic academic surveys as widely as possible.
